Our criteria

We’re committed to transparency, not trends. This means every item we stock has gone through a strict filtration process to ensure it meets our standards.

We don’t rely on vague claims. We examine the source, the science, the formulation and the process – end to end. Partnering only with brands who choose integrity over shortcuts, and excellence over ease.

Every submission is cross-checked against our banned ingredients list, with required documentation – from lab reports to certifications – to ensure uncompromising standards

When we say
non-toxic, we mean it

In order for a product to be considered non-toxic in Australia, it must meet regulatory, scientific and consumer safety standards.

To be stocked on Made In Alignment, a product must meet compliance with relevant Australian standards, avoidance of known harmful substances and evidence of safety for intended use.

A product must meet at least one of the following:
  • Independently certified non-toxic
  • GOTS-certified or made from verified organic textiles
  • Sustainably and ethically made
  • Transparent in both ingredients and sourcing
  • Free from known irritants, endocrine disruptors and greenwashing tactics
We don't stock:

  • Parabens 
  • Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives (e.g. DMDM hydantoin)
  • SLS/SLES (Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate)
  • PEGs and petrochemicals 
  • Synthetic fragrances (unless explicitly listed and assessed for safety)
  • Heavy metals 
  • BPA and other endocrine-disrupting chemicals
  • Toxic solvents (e.g. toluene, benzene)
  • Phthalates 
  • Greenwashed marketing

What began as a personal need became a considered solution.

Driven by frustration in the search for genuinely clean products, I found myself caught in a cycle of label reading and ingredient hunting, never quite sure what to trust.

Prioritising my health was essential, but so was simplicity – I needed thoughtful choices without exhaustive research.

So I created the store I’d been searching for – where every product is thoughtfully certified and perfectly aligned. A space that feels calm, curated and intentional.
